Rejection lessons: Here’s why it’s a positive phenomena!

Rejection is an unpleasant aspect of human nature, yet it’s necessary.

At some point in their lives, everyone encounters rejection, whether they realise it or not. The benefits of rejection are something many people who undergo this do not ever know.Although this might sound self-contradictory, ask someone who has ever been turned down for a job. Or anyone they cared about to say that they were not interested in the person in that way.

Most of the time, if you just look at things the right way, rejection may really be a really good thing.

The next time you find yourself in this position, here are some benefits of rejection to remember.

Rejection makes us realise that we are human beings

Everyone is the star of their own movie. And in the greater scheme of things, this may contribute to an understandable yet misleading sense of one’s own value. Actually, rejection is a positive thing because everybody might stand to be taken down a peg or two at some point. It helps us here because it tells us that, no matter how special we would like to think we are, we are all human.

Rejection teaches us to be patient

Some kinds of rejection can be damaging, while others can be completely destructive. This is one moment, though, that rejection will potentially assist you by teaching you to be patient and continue moving forward. You may not get what you want right away. But you will eventually find yourself where you want to be if you’re willing to work hard and be patient.

It provides a new different perspective to look at things

Once in a while, everybody gets tunnel vision. To the exclusion of everything else, we focus on one objective. One individual, or one dream. Rejections can provide us with a moment to pause and take another look at our goals and how we are trying to achieve them. In this case, with fresh eyes, the idea is to look around and consider not only new ways to achieve the same goal. But how we view our goals and dreams.

Rejection makes us stronger

Rejection can often feel like it brings you to a full stop. But it gives you something to push against in reality. When everything is working for them, people do not grow stronger, but when they are forced to cope with the unexpected or the undesirable. It helps us in this way by showing us how powerful, resourceful, and capable we really are when the chips are down.

It motivates us to keep going and do better

“The position has been filled.” “That’s not what we’re looking for right now.” “You’re a nice guy/girl, but…” Ouch! At some point, we have all been there and done that, and it’s frustrating. This can be a sign when confronted with rejection that you need to do something you’re not. Figuring out what that is will put you on the road to doing better, and in the future, you will experience less rejection.

It makes you more self-dependent

In life, you’ll be able to manage more. Rejection hits our ego directly and it is something that most people are not prepared to go through. If you can deal with rejections, you can find yourself able to manage more of the problems of life comfortably.

Turn that Rejection into Action

The most common emotional wound that we face every day is rejection. They’re able to paralyse us. Or questioning us. To enhance the chances of success, reflection and learning are necessary. But a denial will make you feel rejected if you get caught in self-reflection.

Turn dismissals into fuel. And move into motion.
